Hello Yap, Sorry to hear that you are running into install issues..NET4 is just like any other software that you would install on the machine. Can I provide you with a log from someone to examine to determine why my installation is failing? I see many posts from other people who have the same problem. Has your team been able to determine the cause and solution?

- Archive And Install Failed With Error Windows 10
Hello Group,
I have this error issues that says:
error: unpacking of archive failed on file /usr/local/vhive_ssp_/lib/x86/schedlibs/libIC.so.6:584ef7e9:cpio: Digest mismatch
Basically, i'm to install a software call vhive_ssp_x86.
After which i have to create RPM on a test server .
So i have successfully installed the software, copied it from the build server to a test server for RPM to be install. The command i have used to do the install is shown below:
rpm -ivh --nodeps vhivessp-2-1.x86_64.rpm.
So running this command came out with the error shown above.
So i googled and got few commands that intended to be a fix.
here are the other commands i have used:
rpm -ivh --nodeps --nofiledigest vhivessp-2-1.x86_64.rpm.
It appears the software was installed. I was very happy until i ran the next command below here to check if it was in deed, properly install,
rpm -qi vhivessp-2-1.x86_64.rpm.
i then got a result that says
vhivessp-2-1.x86_64 was successfully installed. But wait*** i expect to see
vhivessp-2-1.x86_64.rpm. install NOT vhivessp-2-1.x86_64
So not only that the rpm was not installed, everytime i ran the first command i get a misleading message that the software (vhivessp-2-1.x86_64) is installed.
So it now seemed like using the second command may have mess something up that now do not recognize the difference between actual software ( vhivessp-2-1.x86_64) FROM the created rpm ( vhivessp-2-1.x86_64.rpm.) that needs to be install on the test server .
Thanks

I packaged an rpm using
command, and copied the resulting rpm to another machine which has a company specific OS. Now when I try to install the rpm using
I get the error the same as the one in the title.
So I ran
on the machine used to build the rpm package, and got this:
After a bit of investigation, I tried removing the redhat-rpm-config package and bam, rpm installation worked on the other machine. Now, this is a solution and all but I don't think I can just uninstall this package for every machine that we're going to use in creating the rpm. Is there any other way to ignore this redhat-rpm-config-9.0.3-51.el6.noarch when creating an rpm package using cmake?

What is the RPM version of the system you are installing on? Are its sources publicly available somewhere?
There could be various compatibility issues if you build binary RPMs using a newer RPM/distribution. In general, we build binary RPMs using the RPM and
redhat-rpm-config
versions in the buildroot (which is created by mock) itself, which matches the target RPM version, even if the build host has a newer RPM version. If this is not an option for you, I would look at specific RPM features controlled by
redhat-rpm-config
. The one that sticks out to me immediately is payload compression:Other changes include support for larger files, but this does not seem to be the issue here because it would not change by uninstalling the

You very likely made binary RPM using rpmbuild on different OS than was the target OS. You should use 'mock' for building the package.

To solve 'error: unpacking of archive failed: cpio: Bad magic' issue at RPM package installation on your machine:
1/ List rpm pkgs which are installed on the server machine (the machine on which the rpm pkg is generated): $ rpm -qa | grep rpm …. ….2/ If pkg redhat-rpm-config-9.0.3-51.el6.noarch is present in the given list, desinstall it:

3/ Generate now the pkg and tranfer it on your dev machine. Pkg installation should work.
