Hi All,
- Cisco Switch Image For Gns3
- Cisco Catalyst Switch
- Cisco Switches Ios For Gns3
- Gns3 Install Cisco Switch
I am setting up a lab using GNS3 but am having trouble with a Windows VM interfacing to a C3750 configured as an Etherswitch. I have no issue with VPCS attached to the same switchport n the etherswitch, but when I remove it and attach the Windows VM, it does not work. It appears the switch port just trashes any frames sent via the Windows VM and that the Switch refuses to send broadcasts on the port the Windows VM is attached - yet layer one and layer 2 look fine - all up/up and no errors according to the switch.
I have a diagram followed by relevant configuration snippets. I, for the life of me cannot spot a configuration problem and need some help.
Cisco 3750 switch stack with different IOS images. Creation and Management of Catalyst 3750 Switch Stacks. #switch 7 provision ws-c3750-48p), in new switch. 1) Is is possible to simulate a Cisco 3750 switch of do I need to work with the default ethernet switch provided by GNS3? (I have the IOS) 2) When creating a pix from an IOS, I do not see the option to choose that platform: eg platform C3700 model 3725.

Observations/Conclusions from the Capture:
i. 'Ping' does an arp to find the MAC address of the default gateway (10.0.2.1) > the Windows VM ethernet interface is working
ii. There is no response to the ARP broadcast > connectivity issue.
iii. The switch interface is sending CDP packets > switch interface is up.
iv. Confirms the Switchport Fa1/3 (from CDP) and Windows VM (MAC: Vmware_cs:61:49 from ARP packet) are on the same link.

Note that the Windows VM will work when attached directly to a router interface, but will not work when attached to the Etherswitch. Can anyone spot what is wrong or have an idea as to why Windows VM will not work with the C3750 Etherswitch?
